You are not here on earth by a plan or accident between your mother or faither. God had already planned for your birth. Giftings and talents were placed in you. Think about something special you can do, write, speak that you don't have to think about doing or make happen.... It just seems to come natural to you! That or those are the talents and gifts are from God!
When God made us, He made it so that all our physical body, but can't do what the limbs can d parts do different things but all work together for us to function. The eyes see but can't do what the mouth can do; the nose smells but can't do what the limbs can do; our ears can hear but can't do what the heart does...Yet there is one part of us, the brain that makes all the separate body parts work together for us to function as God intended. The brain is what enables us to function as human beings. So it is with the body of Christ! God our creator, our sustainer, the brain(so to speak) over us gave each of us different gifts and talents to be used to build up His kingdom of people(souls). We are to use these gifts and talents to draw people to the Lord!
when one part of the body of Christ isn't doing what it was designed to do, the body of Christ can't function or perform as it should. We as children of God were put here to function collectively! ....to accomplish the will of God. We were made to need one another, like the human body parts. When we become slack in doing our part with what we have been given(gifts and talents), we hinder the plans of God. We are held accountable for what we do or don't do with what we have been given...
Are you doing your part? Can you say when you stand before the Lord, Father, I did this or did that as you wanted with the gifts and talents you gave me If you are unable to answer with a positive reply now, you still have time to repent and start doing what you have been equipped to do. Just as our physical body functions together as a whole, so are we to use what we've been given to build up God's kingdom (souls) as a whole!
